Our Review

Honestly, I have a love/hate relationship with straws.  On one hand, I love straws and we use a lot of them.  For some reason I have a hard time drinking water without a straw, so we usually have a supply in the house.  But on the other hand, I hate the waste. Glass straws are a nice green alternative to the plastic straws that end up in the landfill. The Glass Straw variety pack from Cornucopia Brands includes four colors and the variety pack also includes a heavy duty cleaning brush to ensure that the straws stay clean.  Having that brush is good - but the only drawback for me is that cleaning the straws with the brush is a bit hard - it's a tight fit.  However, so far I've been able to clean the straws with hot water and soap, usually letting  them soak for a bit.  My only  word of caution is a reminder these are glass, so use judgement when giving them to kids to use.   But other than that, if you have been wanting to give glass straws a try I'd say give it a go! I ordered our set from Amazon and the shipping was fast.

 Our Review

The Hydration Belt by Project Vigor is extremely lightweight & comfortable; the belt adjusts easily for the perfect fit across your hips.  The plastic bottles are BPA free, fit nicely in their space without bouncing around and are easy to wash out. (They did have a very unpleasant smell upon arrival, but the smell went away as soon as I washed them.)  The bottles are only 6 oz. so if you need a larger amount then it's not the pack for you.  However, it's perfect for runners/walkers or even hikers (when traveling with someone else carrying a larger water supply).  The pocket has enough room for a phone, your key and/or a power snack of some sort.  I haven't washed mine, so I can't confirm how it holds up to that process, but I can say it dries out very quickly after a hard workout.  The company offers a 1 yr. warranty.
